Okay, let me start off by saying that THIS PARTY WAS ABSOLUTE SHIT. I was supposed to go see Paul Van Dyk (*drool*) at Industry that night but somehow Josh managed to get me to go to Next Junction instead. Boy was that a mistake. I don't think this party had a single good quality to it.
The venue was the Warehouse and it sucked ass because it was way too hot, they didn't open up the Orange room and Guverment (that would have been my only salvation), it was so overcrowded there was no room to really dance anywhere, and it was so hot and damp that the floors were so wet that you couldn't get any traction to dance anyhow.
The music I didn't enjoy because I'm not a big fan of jungle. I'm not going to cut up jungle just because I don't like it, though. Actually, I have to admit I kind of enjoyed Capital J's set; his spinning kicked ass. The room with all the other music was tiny and overcrowded and still didn't please me much.
The people were probably the worst aspect of this party. I've never had so many rude and inconsiderate idiots bump into me without so much as a wave or a look or anything. Like, I don't mind if someone lets me know they're going by, by looking at me as they walk by or gently nudging me with their hand so that I know they need me to move, but when you're trying to dance or something and people keep bumping into you as if you don't exist that's just bullshit, especially at a rave. I blame that mostly on the kind of people jungle music brings in. I know there are some good junglists out there but so many of them just cross into the rap/hip-hop mentality too much. Jungle parties also seems to bring in more people from the mainstream. Most of you people who were at this Next Junction party fuckin' sucked ass.
Okay, I guess that's it. In conclusion I'd like to say that thanks to this party I will probably never go again to a party that's mainly jungle and nor will I attend a Warehouse party for a long long time. This is definitely one of the worst, if not the worst parties I've ever been to.
