Heya's!
I swore to myself I would send out the review within a week of the party (as
opposed to the usual, 1 month after the party ;) ) so here goes!!
Well as everyone who went knows, the party was at the Chameleon in
Ajax. As
I've said before, I personally love the place........ well I did
anyways..
too bad the owner is a drunken wanker. More about that later :)
Those who were fortunate enough to show up early were treated by the
luscious sounds of RJ MalGlo... man.. that guy has some nice tracks...
oh
shit wait.. that was me! ....... It was really great to finally get to spin
at one of our own parties;) Ya... ok anyways.. next.. :)
After I got kicked off the decks... (1.5 hrs goes by waaaaayyyy too fast
when your up there)... It was time for Orange Ritchie... A very nice
deep/dark house set that started slow and was movin nice an quick by
the
end - good job Rich!
Next up... (and 5 minutes late!! SUSAN'S FAULT!!!!!!!!!! :) ) my man Elixir... everytime I see this guy spin it's a treat... this was no
exception. Not much to say here - for those who've heard him..... you
know
what I'm talking about. Did anyone see that groupie that was drinkin
like a
madwoman durin his set?? Some Brenda chick I think...she was like all
over
him .... anyways.. damn DJ ho's ;)
--------- JELO ------ ..... this man.... Is amazing...... his new name in my
eyes though is 'the bopper' ;) ... Josh - one day your gonna bop down a
lil
too far and hit your nose on the record :)... spectacular set...

Damn! I didn't know that the DJ Ho was actually a DJ.. wow... the grrl
that
was all over Elixir durin his set can spin!!! ;) LeFreak tossed down a
very
fast... and very awesome.. 1.5 hr trancecore set. Best part was
halfway
during her set.. I look up..and Elixir is qeueing up a record.. I'm
like
'huh?'.. just then Brenda runs past me back behind the decks mumbling
something along the lines of 'damn alcohol....' :)... hey.. if Mark
Oliver
can go in a bucket, why can't you! :) Thanks for playin that infinity
track

Next we had Kurt/Froste up spinnin Fast HHC ... Kurt you have really gotten
a lot better... real smooth mixes.. and on the mark cuts... definitely
got
everyone goin!
This is when the venue owner peter pulled me aside... seems he had indulged
in a fair bit of drinking himself whilst working the bar.. and.. hey..
now
that he couldn't sell alcohol.. it seemed like a reasonable time to
shut the
party down... agreement.. what agreement???? :)... So as Alchemy
stepped up
to spin.. I kept the owner arguein for about 45 minutes :).... Twas a
good
set from what I heard over his cursing derek.. good job:) hehehe party
ended
just after 4am.......
*looks up*... I feel like I've written a partykid review :)
All in all we had a great time.. thanks for everyone who did come out!...
was great seein everyone again and we'll let you know about our next
one. We think we're gonna stick with outdoor parties (I'd much rather deal
with
cops..than venue owners) for now... We've got some great spots scoped
out
for next spring..... and the only way we'd be able to get away with an
indoor again is if we charged a coupla bucks.. and although the
comments
I've gotten on that is 'do it!'.. I'm still leery about charging....
We'll
see what the general consensus is.... Let us know what you think???
